A Girl Scout Holiday Service Project

Alameda County

We are sorry to report that we are unable to hold TKFK in Alameda County in 2017.
We are hopeful of bringing it back in 2018.

Family Wish Lists

In Alameda County, we have Family Wish Lists. The social workers asked their families to complete wish lists so that each member of the family may receive a gift that he or she would truly want.
To Kids From Kids participants have the choice of "adopting" a wish or simply following the suggestions in the below Gift Donations and our Specifics and Participation pages.
Service Units, troops, groups, families and individuals are encouraged to adopt a Family Wish to really brighten these families' holidays. You are only expected to purchase one or two items from the list and participants can adopt one child, several children, one family or more depending on what your budget dictates.
Please contact the TKFK Alameda County Project Coordinator Tiffany Murphy for specific wish information.

Gift Donations

  • To Kids From Kids requests gifts for girls and boys, newborn through 18 years old. We ask for new, quality gifts valued at no less than $15 and that each gift is non-violent in nature.
  • If possible, please provide everything needed to make the gift ready to use when received (i.e. include batteries for toys or paper for art sets).
  • Please request a gift receipt to include with each item, especially if purchasing clothing. Adhere the gift receipt to the gift as opposed to the gift tag/greeting card.

Greeting Cards

Gift tags/greeting cards accompany each gift donation. Cards identify the gift from Girl Scouts and add a personal touch to every gift. If your troop would like to make gift tags/greeting cards to accompany gifts, please refrain from using messages that refer to a specific holiday. Instead, messages on cards should read "Seasons Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" and include the girl's first name and troop number. You may make gift tags/greeting cards as simple or detailed as you like. For instance, you may decorate index cards with crayons, stickers or stamps or you may recycle old holiday cards by cutting the pictures out and using them as decorative elements on construction paper, card stock, etc
