TO KIDS FROM KIDS
A Girl Scout Holiday Service Project

WELCOME!

TO KIDS FROM KIDS is a service project of
Girl Scouts of Northern California
in the greater San Francisco Bay Area

MISSION

To brighten the winter holidays for at risk children who are in the social services system by ensuring that each child receives a gift.

Project Overview

This project was started in 1985 by a social worker, Edra Robertson, in South San Francisco.  She and her Girl Scout troop collected toys to give through Social Services to children physically and/or emotionally abused, during the holiday season.
The project provides Girl Scouts with opportunities for service, leadership, and skill-building.

Project Specifics

Individuals of all ages may participate in this project to benefit children who are in the social services system, usually because of abuse. A wide range of gifts are needed but due to the sensitive circumstances, violent-theme toys are inappropriate.
